PROJECT 2: RESPONSE TO THE THE PAC AND LAS CAFETERAS

This work pulled from influences of the architecture of the performing art center as well as from the economic materials used by the architect. Similar to using repurposed materials to create a beautiful setting, we used recycled materials to create texture and pattern on our piece. This was also constructed in a response to art by Marjetica Portc and Crystal Wagner. Both utilize and are conscious of the materials they use in their works and both tend to recognize the environmental impact of the items we use that fill our landfills. We utilized the angular frames to respond to the angled walls in the PAC while utilizing computer cables that are no longer in use, and grocery bags, which are also no longer in use.
